Business Licenses - Fee

Home occupation business license - $150.00
Home occupation business license renewal - $100.00
Neighborhood business license - $250.00
Neighborhood business license renewal - $150.00
Peddler's license - $75.00
Re-inspections related to business inspections - $50.00

Home occupations, home occupation renewals, neighborhood business and peddler's licenses shall expire one year from date of application.

Nonresident business:

Ten-day - $20.00
Valid up to sixty days - $35.00
Valid up to six months - $65.00
Valid up to one year - $100.00

Nonresident realtors - $25.00

Sewer

Side sewer connection - $250.00
Side sewer capping - $150.00

Connection charge and area fee per Chapter 13.08 of the Municiple Code

Re-inspection related to sewer permit inspections (nonrefundable) - $50.00
Storm system connection--residential - $75.00
Storm system connection--other (business zone, school, church) - $300.00

Land Use

In addition to the charges below in the “land use” category, the applicant shall pay or reimburse the City for fees, expenses and costs incurred related to the application, including but not limited to (1) city employee charges (see amounts below), (2) professional and consultant services for engineering, legal, geotechnical, traffic and environmental, administrative, design and preliminary and final plat review, (3) administrative fees, and (4) out-of-pocket expenses advanced. In addition to the above, the applicant shall the following upon filing of the application:

Annexation petition - $250.00
Rezone - $1,500.00 + $50.00 per acre
Deposit for short subdivision; preliminary plat applications - $2,000.00
Deposit for subdivision; preliminary plat applications - $3,000.00
Deposit for subdivision; final plat application - $3,000.00
Deposit for preapplication for proposed subdivision, short - $500.00

Subdivision and lot line adjustments

Storm system connection--short plat/ subdivision due at final plat - $100.00 per lot
Final plat reinspections--minimum one hour - $50.00/hr.
Deposit for lot line adjustment- $1,000.00
Variance (all) - $300.00 with staff time charged to the deposit
Conditional Use Permit - $300.00 with staff time charged to the deposit

SEPA:

Applications for Comprehensive Plan Amendments-- minimum - $1,500.00 plus additional costs incurred by city
SEPA checklist review and initial determination - $300.00
Deposit required - $400.00
SEPA appeals - $300.00

Comprehensive Plan Amendments:

Citywide Policy Change:

Initial request to City Council - No Charge
Deposit-- if docketed by City Council - $500.00 with staff time charged to the deposit*

Property specific map change

Initial request to City Council - $500.00 with staff time charged to the deposit
Deposit -- if docketed by City Council - $1000.00 with staff time charged to the deposit*

City Council may waive a $500.00 deposit that is determined to be in the general public interest

Tree Removal and Replacement Permit:

Request for applications for up to 100 trees - $500 with staff time charged to the deposit
Request for applications for over 101 trees - $1000 with staff time charged to the deposit

Other:

Right-of-way vacation - $1,000.00
Shorelines permit - $400.00
Administrative appeals - $50.00

City Employee Charges

Hourly charge for city employee work and services - $60.00/hour on subdivisions, short subdivisions, lot line adjustments, and all preliminary applications

Building and Other Related Permits

In addition to the charges below, the applicant shall pay or reimburse the City for the same fees, expenses and costs described in the first part of the “land use” section above:

Fill and grading permit:

0--99 cu. yd. - per UBC scale
100 cu. yds. and over - per UBC scale
Right-of-way use permits - per Chapter 12.12

Demolitions permit - $150.00
(must include Puget Sound Air Pollution Control Board permit)

Sign permit - $60.00
Fence permit - per 1985 UBC fee schedule
Woodstove permit - $50.00 + basic fee
Satellite dish siting permit - $50.00
Permanent swimming pool - per UBC fee schedule
Spa/hot tub - $75.00 + basic fee
House moving permit - $300.00
Mobile home/temporary construction trailer (maximum six months) - $200.00
Retaining walls or rockery three feet or higher - per fence permit scale

All utility company permits - per project $50.00
(must include traffic control and bond)

Plumbing - per UPC fee schedule + basic fee
Fire sprinkler permit - city costs
Special plumbing inspections--minimum two hours - per UPC
Plumbing reinspections - per UPC
Mechanical - per UMC fee schedule + basic fee

Roofing:

work valued over $1,000.00 or with structural repairs - per job valuation

Copies of CDs or tape recordings of city meetings and hearings - $10.00 per CD or tape
(Request must be accompanied with CDs or tape cassettes onto which copy is to be made)

NSF/returned check--In the case of any such fee - $30.00 paid on sewer charges, such sum paid shall first be applied to the returned check fee

Fingerprinting - $15.00 per card
Traffic Collision Report - $10.00
Copies of city documents - $0.15 per page
Title search/information request - $7.00
For research and investigation of request information, a charge of actual costs incident to copying will be charged as per RCW 42.17.300.
