The 30 year of age Asian male owner later returned to the vehicle and was arrested for the violations. K9 search of the interior of the vehicle located suspected marijuana. DECEMBER 27, 2008 TRAFFIC ACCIDENT. 3000 block of 232 St SW. 36 year of age white male from Brier driving a 1999 Dodge Caravan slid of the roadway in icy conditions into a retaining wall. No injuries reported. STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERY. 22500 block of Locust Way. Officer observed a 1995 Honda Civic parked at an abandoned residence. Computer check revealed the vehicle had been stolen. The vehicle's engine had been cut from the engine compartment and all windows had been broken out. The registered owner was notified of the recovery. THEFT. 3500 block of Alaska Road. Unknown person(s) removed a stop sign from its post. DECEMBER 28, 2008 NARCOTICS / WARRANT ARREST. 21600 block of 216 St SW. 28 year of age white male from Mill Creek driving a 1985 Toyota Camry was stopped for traffic. He initially gave numerous false names. Further investigation revealed his identity and computer record check revealed his driving status suspended with an outstanding warrant. Search of the vehicle located suspected narcotics. He was booked into jail without further incident. The vehicle was impounded. While at her residence the keyless entry option on her vehicle went on and off. She suspects the suspect(s) were activating the keyless remote for purpose of locating the vehicle. DECEMBER 20, 2008 TRAFFIC COLLISION. Intersection of Poplar Way and Larch Way. 21 year of age white male from Bellingham driving 1996 Jeep Cherokee SUV attempted to make a right hand turn in icy conditions and slid into a 1999 Chevy pick up which was attempting to make a left hand turn. No injuries reported. Intersection of Alaska Road and 34 Pl W. 41 year of age white male from Lynnwood driving a 1999 Jeep Wrangler failed to yield the right of way to a 19 year of age white male from Brier driving a 2005 Mitsubishi causing a collision. Neither vehicle could stop due to snowy conditions. No injuries reported. The vehicle following him, a 1996 Chevrolet driven by a 43 year of age white male from Brier, also began to slide and collided into the rear of the first vehicle. No injuries were reported. An 18 year of age white male from Mountlake Terrace, a 19 year of age white male from Lynnwood, a 16 year of age white male from Mountlake Terrace and a 15 year of age white male from Brier were contacted regarding damage done to mailboxes, Christmas yard ornaments, vehicles and street signs in the area. All were released to their parents pending further investigation and filing of charges. FRAUD. 2900 block of 227 St SW. 54 year of age white male from Brier reports someone took a check from his daughter's lost backpack and cashed it without permission. The company who cashed the check was contacted and identified the suspect as a Hispanic male from Tukwila. He was contacted and admitted finding the backpack and cashing the check. All property was returned to the victim. DECEMBER 10, 2008 TRAFFIC. 22800 block of Brier Road. 40 year of age white male from Brier observed driving a 1992 Toyota Corolla and known to have suspended driving status. He stopped his vehicle and fled on foot into a local grocery store where he was apprehended. He was booked into jail for Driving While License 2nd Degree and Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer. VEHICLE PROWL / MALICIOUS MISCHIEF. 22500 block of 25 Ave W. 18 year of age white male from Brier reports during the night he heard noises and looked out the window to see two juvenile males standing by the family's 2001 Toyota Camry, one of which was looking through the driver's side door window and pulling on the door handle. Upon shouting at them, they ran to a nearby vehicle and fled the scene. Inspection of Camry revealed it sustained significant damage to the door handle/lock mechanism.
