BRIER PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
November 19, 2025
7:00 PM
Chair Campbell called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioners Campbell, DeMorett, Ficker, Hanson, Krueger, Maykovich and Schneider.
Staff: City Planner Michaelis.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Chair Campbell opened for consideration approval of the October 15, 2025 Planning Commission minutes. Motion: Approve the October 15, 2025 Planning Commission minutes, Moved by Commissioner DeMorett, Seconded by Commissioner Schneider. Motion Carried.
STAFF UPDATES:
City Planner Michaelis gave an update on recent Council activity. City Council passed the 2026 budget. The Amphitheater and decant facility most likely will not be complete before the end of the year. City Council also passed the budget for new bathrooms in Brier Park.
PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.
NEW BUSINESS:
Chair Campbell opened for review the Planning Commission 2025 Annual Report. City Planner Michaelis welcomed comments.
Commissioner DeMorett asked for an update on the Tree Protection Code amendment from the April meeting.
Commissioner Maykovich asked to add her joining the Planning Commission at the August meeting.
Chair Campbell asked to add Commissioner Krueger as joining the Planning Commission at the June meeting.
MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:
Commissioner Demorett asked what is upcoming in the next year for the Planning Commission. City Planner Michaelis advised they may see a subdivision application in January and various code amendments throughout the year.
AGENDA FOR NEXT MEETING (December 17, 2025):
Planner Michaelis informed the Commissioners there will not be a meeting in December 2025.
ADJOURNMENT:
Chair Campbell declared the meeting adjourned at 7:10 PM
